These synergistic symposia being held in Nashville on November 5 and 6, 2009 will present the most current cutting-edge research and novel clinical programs addressing the common theme of: “HIV’s Cellular, Clinical, and Social Networks”. The opportunity to provide cross-talk and collaborative conversations between translational researchers and clinical care providers is an important mission of the Vanderbilt Meharry Center for AIDS Research and the Comprehensive Care Center.

The CFAR Symposium on the VUMC campus will include state-of-the-art research presentations on dynamic pathogenetic or defensive interactions between HIV and the host and the latest in clinical/translational research.

Session 1 (Nov 5, morning): Frontiers in HIV Immunopathogenesis Research

Session 2 (Nov 5, afternoon): Emerging Issues in HIV Medicine

The 12th Annual Tennessee AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) / Comprehensive Care Center (CCC) HIV Clinical Symposium at a beautiful, convenient venue downtown next to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center will update providers in Tennessee and the southeast about the latest clinical advances in HIV care.

Session 1 (Nov 6, morning): Integrating HIV Prevention and Care into Routine Medical Care
